2025-08-14 – Parkour Curriculum Update
Parkour has grown immensely as an emerging sport. To remain fresh and evolve with it’s growth, we have updated our parkour curriculum. Our newly, well-design curriculum nurtures student’s skill- learning, retention, and progression. Every sports curriculum can greatly benefit from periodic curricular updates. We know it’s a bit messy.
After thorough review, we’re widening the foundational skillsets for both the beginner (Levels 1-3) and intermediate (Levels 4-6) parkour classes. These adjustments to the parkour curriculum make it more accessible for students working towards their next level and designed to give more opportunities to test up and succeed—while still keeping the challenge and progression that make parkour rewarding.
Class Changes
Starting early September:
- Parkour Level 1+ will stay as Parkour Level 1+ classes (And will widen for students Level 1 – 3)
- Parkour Level 2+ will become a Parkour Level 4+ class
- Parkour Level 4+ will become a Parkour Level 7+ class
For the majority of students, your schedule will be unaffected! Most of our current Parkour L1+ and Parkour L2+ run parallel with two coaches.
Level Changes
- Current Level 1 students will remain as Level 1 students
- All current Level 2 or 3 students will default as new Level 4 students
- All current Level 4, 5, or 6 students will default as new Level 7 students
During the week of August 24th, all parkour classes will run an abbreviated Parkour Level Test to place current member students on the new curriculum scale.
- Level 1+ classes will run our new Level 1 and Level 2 test
- Level 2+ classes run our new Level 5 and Level 6 test
We are expecting most current students will level up during the Parkour Level Testing Week. No additional charges to member accounts will take place.
For those that have been ready to test up into a new class:
- If you are a current Level 1 student that would like to test into the new Level 4+ class, please register for the Saturday, August 23rd 10:30am Level 1 Test.
