Indoor Mask Policy Update

The mask mandate for Wake County is being lifted for indoors next Friday, February 25th, 2022. To err on the side of caution, our team has chosen to keep the indoor mandate in place for two additional weeks. Safety has always been the first priority. We owe it to everyone’s safe practices in ensuring that we haven’t had widespread exposure through the gym.

Masks will be optional for the indoor facility starting Friday, March 11th.

Durham Programming Update

As we shared in the previous email and in-class, Triangle Circus Arts (TCA) has been weighing heavy decisions. Unfortunately it has been decided that they will be closing November. As the Durham program is stringent on renting space directly from Triangle Circus, we will be wrapping up our programming at the end of this month – with the final class in the current space on Thursday, October 29th. We are still actively searching for another facility rental or organizational partner to bring satellite programming to Durham. In the meantime, Enso Movement Raleigh is continuing strong with reopening momentum and both indoor and outdoor classes. We’d be happy to continue any instruction just a city over!

Over the next few days, we’ll be updating active accounts so that all membership auto-renewals are turned off for those participating in Durham classes. If you have a question about your membership, please contact us.

We would like to thank everyone for your support. It’s truly been a pleasure to share parkour and its practices with you. We know that our students will bring forward the same tenacity and inner strength with this tide of change. In some ways, we’re excited to see what’s around the corner for our satellite programming. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’ve any questions or if there’s anything we can do through this transition.

Phase 2.5

Enso Movement Community,

We are incredibly excited to see you at Enso Movement! The North Carolina state government has given the green light for gyms and health clubs to re-open at a reduced capacity. We are excited to start many services to see our students back in the classroom for their physical and mental health and well-being. Starting Tuesday, September 9th, 2020, a new class schedule will begin operating with new modifications and in-compliance of local, state, and federal guidelines.

We’re ready to see you again. Please take a moment to read:

When you’re ready, visit our Zenplanner Calendar to register for your first class back to Enso Movement.

Please bear with us as our front desk sorts out all member accounts. If you have a membership on hold, please contact info@ensomovement.com.

We are soooo looking forward to seeing our students and jumping into classes. See you soon!

Phase II

We hope that you’re in good health.

The past two weeks have been a rollercoaster with the potential of opening doors for Phase II. The last-minute gym and health-club exclusion to Phase II came as a disheartening surprise as we’ve been preparing for weeks. Understandably for the “safer-at-home” recommendation, a modest approach must be taken and our facilities stay under temporary COVID-19 suspension. While we do not know when we will re-open for class services, we continue to hope for the day we can see everyone again. Members will be the first to be updated on any new information. We will continue to operate with our weekday Zoom classes and roll out online resources.

When we do open for classes, know that we have your health, safety, and physical distancing in mind. We are actively working with industry peers and keeping close tabs on like-minded communities to address our check-in procedures, sanitation protocols, and updating our operation standards. Please be assured that our top concern will continue to be keeping our members and team safe.

At this time under Phase II guidance, day camps are operational along with outdoor gatherings. Our summer camps will have updates soon with guidance from the CDC taking measures such as reducing camp size, modifying activities, and safety practices. Current members will be shared information about specialized small group training that takes place outdoors safely. Our coaching team holds a wealth of experience leading instruction outdoors across the world. Many of which have lead events well beyond the Triangle under all sorts of conditions. Statements from the local government express that further Phase II restrictions may be lifted. If gyms and health clubs are included, we will operate with modified schedules and measures (Raleigh / Durham).

Our Raleigh facility is most impacted by a reduction in both class schedules and maximum attendance along with sanitation measures. Our Durham site will reduce maximum attendance while we wait to hear back from Triangle Circus Arts on their operations. Both sites will see the following updated protocols:

  • Deep Cleaning – Our team will have a heightened deep-cleaning process that starts before and after classes. High-touch surfaces and zones will be disinfected multiple times using WHO-approved products.
  • Hands-free Check-in – Our front desk staff will check students in without your need for kiosks.
  • Physical Distancing – Members will be asked to keep safe physical distancing between themselves and others.
  • Equipment Distancing – Our movement classes and equipment are incredibly unique with its nature. For every opportunity that arises, we will maximize space between stations and equipment.
  • Masks – All team members and facility guests will be required to wear masks indoors during any potential Phase II operations.
  • Access to Amenities – Restrooms will be available to members to use. Water fountains should be used for refilling water bottles only – do not drink directly from the water fountain. The use of foam pit will be limited.
  • Employee Health Screening – Every team member will have a health screening prior to starting their shift.

Since we do not know when we open, we’d like to share our gift cards or in-kind donations. We have been filled with a deep appreciation for the generous individuals and families that have continued their memberships and/or contributions. It has given our staff continued work throughout the temporary closure and has helped the stress around managing the on-going rent and utilities. The support has us reflecting on the strong movement community and we are full of gratitude.  Members that would like to freeze their account at no-cost, please e-mail info@ensomovement.com.

Thank you for supporting our team and business during this difficult time. We look forward to training with you soon.

Community Strong

Hey Enso Movement families,

Thanks for the continued support and strength as we continue to find new solutions to bring fitness to you. The kind words have been unexpected gestures and are a testament to our resilient community. Under the direction of the updated COVID-19 executive order, we will be temporarily suspended until Thursday, April 30th. This is a challenging time for everyone including businesses – especially small and local.

Memberships are by and far our largest source of revenue. We absolutely appreciate those that are generously continuing payment on their membership dues. Throughout our suspension, current members will have flexibility on making up any missed classes once the services resume. For members that would like to freeze their account at no-cost, please e-mail info@ensomovement.com. Be assured that 100% of your dues go directly to ensuring Enso Movement moves forward.

Small businesses are asking their communities to purchase gift cards. This action provides our business the available-cash now to provide services later. We offer gift cards that can be used towards any membership, drop-ins, events, and more. If you’d like to buy a gift card, please click here.

There’s a tension we are all feeling with everything currently going on. We’ve certainly never experienced anything like this before. Distance learning is new for teachers, our personal schedules have us off, or we’re getting antsy stuck inside. Over the next few months, our anxiety may increase. It’s normal under these special circumstances.

What we all need right now is to feel like everything is going to be ok. Take some time to hang out and do activities together. Go for a walk outdoors (respecting physical distancing), pick up a new TV show (turning off the news), or video chat with friends and family. Your family and personal mental health and wellbeing are the two most important things at this time. How you felt during all of this will stay with you as a lasting memory. We are here to help with your longterm health by providing the following:

  • Our weekday Zoom classes have been a hit and we’re happy to share any fitness tips on how you can find a sense of wellbeing at home during this time.
    • Movement-based classes daily Monday through Thursday at 5:15PM;
    • Calisthenic classes daily Monday through Thursday at 6:30PM; and
    • Handbalancing classes every Thursday at 4:00PM.
  • Our Parkour Leadership Education and Development program has three sample lessons open for guidance on self-improvement and reflection.
  • Over the next couple of weeks – we hope to expand these services to online calisthenics programming, video examples, and more.

Take care of each other. We’re in this together.

Message to Community

Hello Members,

The concerns of COVID-19 have increased and we are monitoring closely. We wanted to write to let you know that our services, classes, and camps are still on for the upcoming week.

The health and safety of our members, families, and staff are preeminent. Please be aware that we are continuing to take the preventative steps listed in below and in previous e-mails along with CDC and local NCDHHS recommendations.

To continue safeguarding everybody’s safety, students should take preventative measures to stay healthy. If you do not feel well, please do not come in – sick children or students will not be allowed on-site. If a child or student becomes sick during our services, they must be picked up (or leave) immediately. We will be happy to reschedule your class!

For track out camps, you may choose to reschedule your child’s camp. Refunds are also available in the event of a cancellation. Please contact Zak@ensomovement.com.

Enso Movement will continue following the guidelines provided by the CDC for schools and businesses. Both DPS and WCPSS have both closed until the end of March, we will follow the protocols of NCDPI and will address any changes to you immediately. Our goals are to ensure that every person visiting Enso Movement is safely protected.

Thanks for checking in. As a small business, our team relies entirely on our community pulling together – all of you have been strong and resilient.

Coronavirus Memo

You’ve probably noticed the increased media coverage surrounding the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). We want to assure you that we continue to monitor the situation and our focus remains on the health and wellness of our team, students, and their families.

Our team has been provided specific guidance on habits to prevent both the flu and coronavirus. Out of caution, we have prioritized and upped our team’s efforts on clean and preventative habits in addition to our normal routine. Specifically:

  • Doubling up on frequent ‘touch’ zones including any doorknobs, switches, bathrooms, the front desk, and waiting lobby (link);
  • Using stronger than EDA and CDC -approved cleaning products (link)
  • Ensuring bathrooms are fully stocked with appropriate hand washing soap and towels; Keeping hand sanitizer and tissues at the front desk and waiting lobby; and
  • Minimizing physical contact between students.

Enso Movement will be following the guidelines provided by the CDC for schools and businesses. As we shared last week, all students should take preventative measures to stay healthy. If you do not feel well, please do not come in – we will be happy to reschedule your class! In the coming weeks, as the US / CDC learns more about this virus, we will evaluate our response and keep you informed. More information can be found from the CDC online.

Help Fight the Flu & COVID-19

Students and families,

In the midst of the flu season and the recent outbreak of the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease), we wanted to make you aware that we are following the issues closely and will comply with CDC recommendations on how to operate. Enso Movement has an updated internal flu pandemic policy in place to ensure that our facilities minimize the risk of exposure of flu viruses for all employees and students. While we take a number of steps to minimize the practicable exposure from our employees, we advise any students to take preventive actions and to stay home if they are sick.

Protecting Yourself
According to the CDC, there are several preventive actions you can take including:
  • Avoid close contact with individuals showing signs of illness.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth without first washing your hands.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are unavailable, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
Missing Class(es)
Students that miss class because of an illness are welcome to contact our front desk for a make-up. Simply call 919-977-8698 or e-mail info@ensomovement.com to place a request.
