Parkour Competition Event
Saturday, March 8th, 2025
01:30pm – 06:30pm (TBD)
Join us for an afternoon of competitive parkour! Athletes may choose to participate in any or all categories. This is a beginner-friendly competition and little to no experience is necessary.
How does it work? Much like Track & Field, athletes typically choose an event to compete in. For Track & Field, there are runners, jumpers, throwers, etc. Some T&F athletes practice multiple events. In parkour competitions, athletes choose to compete in speed, skill, and/or style.
Speed Event
This event focuses on completing an obstacle course as fast as possible, prioritizing efficiency and agility in movement to get from point A to point B quickly.
Skill Event
This event tests an athlete’s technical ability to execute complex maneuvers like vaults, jumps, and precision landings, often involving challenging obstacles that require precise control and body awareness.
Style Event
This category emphasizes the aesthetic quality of movements, where athletes are judged on the fluidity, creativity, and visual appeal of their tricks and transitions in an open setting.
Event Age Divisions
- Youth: Ages 6-9
- Pre-teens: Ages 10-13
- Teens: Ages 14-17
- Adults: 17+
Pricing
This is an event held by the United States Parkour Association and membership is required ($30).
