Part-Time Camp Counselor
Role Description
Camp Counselor
Camp counselors help guests realize their potential in parkour, fitness, and exercise through positive instruction, advice, and encouragement. They are responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering an appropriate range of exercise activities for individual youth or youth groups. Counselors must care for the safety and well-being of all individuals. They may be called upon to demonstrate skills, assist in spotting, or apply first aid. Counselors work with peer staff to ensure the delivery of excellent programming, coordinate the use of equipment, and prepare for the progress of every camper. Moving, lifting, loading, or repairing of equipment may be required. This position will also ensure the fitness areas are clean and safe. Camp counselors have the responsibility of customer services, intermediate training knowledge, and an obligation for safety. Camp counslors understand the immense authority and duty they have been trusted with beyond the scope of their company role i.e. being a model for guests, students, etc.

- Customer Service Skills – Listen to guest needs, provide excellent service, and communicate in a friendly manner to all requests.
- Expert Knowledge – Proficiency through a combination of learned knowledge and practical experience. Desire to grow and learn.
- Neat and Clean Appearance – Counselors are often the representative that has the most interactions with guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet all incoming guests in a friendly manner.
- Build and maintain friendly and pleasant relationships with guests.
- Provide expert knowledge, advice, and safety information through a coaching delivery. Teach relevant skills, techniques, drills, and tactics.
- Monitor and enhance performance using intuition, encouragement, and constructive feedback.
- Identify guest strengths and weaknesses.
- Assess camp schedule or programming and implement appropriate measures.
- Uphold a clean and safe environment for guests and camp programming needs.
- Report notifiable incidents through the proper course and notify a manager.
Educational Background
Some sports-specific coach training, education, and experience is preferred. Our thorough in-house training is provided.
Work Schedule
Availability for weekdays 7:45am – 5:15pm. Our camp counselor day shifts are generally broken into two shifts: mornings (7:45am – 12:45pm) and afternoons (12:30pm – 5:15pm).

- Attention to Detail – Thoroughness is important. Making sure every detail is taken care of is crucial.
