Exercise – Single Block Shrugs
The Single Block Shrug is a great drill to begin incorporating as an intermediate handbalancer to start working towards one armed handstands. This video demonstrates how we can begin to shift our weight with a progressive load by keeping our fingers on the ground. In a back to wall handstand with one block next to your hand, step onto and off of the block. For each step up, remember to fully push through the shoulders to get our full shoulder range of motion. Ben Webster demonstrates with a straddle and the drill can be done with most shapes.

- Work in a tucked position
- Slow the transitions down to 4-8 seconds as you shift
