Exercise – Pop 360 Kick

The Pop 360 Kick is a beginner level kicking skill in our tricking curriculum. It is a great combo-opening trick that transitions easily to other movements. Learning the Pop 360 is foundational to the progression of feilongs, double leg variations, and more.

If you twist to the left, in a ready stance, step sideways with the left leg to gain momentum. Keep your weight over the left leg to pivot as you step over with your right leg to turn a full 180° – your back should be facing away from the target in a “pop” stance. Simultaneously jump off of both legs, turn another 180° in the air, and perform an outside crescent kick with the left leg. If you prefer twisting to the right,, mirror these directions.

Mastering the Pop 360 is key to unlocking many new tricking skills. Once you have this down, progress towards:

  • Start or end a combo with the Pop 360 Kick
  • Continue through with a swing, pop, or vanish out of the kick
  • Work towards the feilong or double leg
