ENSO MOVEMENT

SCAFFOLD

OUR PROGRESSIVE AND SYSTEMATIC TRAINING STRUCTURE

ABOUT THE SCAFFOLD

Are you seeking a simple and progressive training system? Scaffold is our modular structure that breaks down any exercise or skill into safe progressions. From the handstand, kong vault, to the muscle-up, movement is broken down to enable a sense of challenge and growth at every level. You will be given the tools to take the right steps towards achieving your goals.

Scaffold is the cumulation of our coaching knowledge and experience gained from 15+ years instructing thousands of athletes across the world. Our use of creativity and safe thinking in any environment fuels our ability to find and develop progressions for any skill. We have designed the steps that have given numerous individuals the freedom to safely excel in their physical practices.

The Enso Movement Scaffold stands upon three supporting pillars: Stability, Strength, and Skills.

STABILITY

Build a solid foundation to support the external forces placed upon your structure. Stability is a human movement cornerstone to accommodating and controlling the stressors placed on the body. It sets the stage for improved performance while reducing your risk for injury. Scaffold Stability dives into three components – shape, tension, and balance.

Outcomes include:

  • Prevent injuries
  • Learn body positioning and control
  • Strengthen and develop mobility
  • Move with greater freedom

STRENGTH

Develop the strength specific to the movement and skills you want. Strength is the ability to exert a force against resistance. It gives us the ability to run, jump, climb, and be upside down. The amount of force we can produce will determine the goals we can achieve

Outcomes include:

  • Develop foundational strength specific to skills
  • Maintain flexibility and balance
  • Build greater stamina
  • Improve your well-being and body-positive confidence

The most common definition of strength is “the ability to exert a force against a resistance.” The strength required by a handbalancer will be different from the strength needed by a parkour athlete. There are four classifications – absolute, relative, power, and endurance. Absolute strength is your maximum exerted force. Relative strength is force exerted relative to your bodyweight. Power is producing a maximal amount of force in a minimal amount of time. Endurance is your ability to maintain muscular ccontractions for an extended period of time.

SKILL

Learning new skills is exciting whether to reach specific goals or to have fun. Movement skills are built upon the foundation of stability and strength. You will dive into a progressive learning continuum full of exploration, opportunities, guidance, and play. Competency is built in a specific order for physical development – movement patterning, skills acquisition, and application.

Outcomes include:

  • Acquire new skills
  • Use movement patterns as a foundation for learning
  • Sharpen connections between techniques
  • Practical application
