Open Gym Attendant

Open gym attendants help guests to explore, exercise, and train in a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment. They are responsible for preparing the facilities, organizing and moving equipment, and attending to the well-being of all guests. Open gym attendants have an obligation and responsibility for safety. At Enso Movement, our team understands the immense authority and duty they have been trusted with beyond the scope of their company role i.e. being a model for guests, students, etc.

Essential Skills

  • Customer Service Skills – Listen to guest needs, provide excellent service, and communicate in a friendly manner to all requests.
  • Obligation for Safety – Duty towards the health, safety, and wellbeing of guests.
  • Neat and Clean Appearance – Coaches are often the representative that has the most interactions with a guest.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet all incoming guests in a friendly manner.
  • Build and maintain friendly and pleasant relationships with guests.
  • Maintain records of guests including personal information, billing, health and safety concerns, or attendance.
  • Seek and update information as to how guests will provide payment for any business services or products.
  • Handle all inquiries, requests, or reservations per instructions of guests.
  • Provide knowledge, advice, and safety information when solicited.
  • Monitor and enhance performance using intuition, encouragement, and constructive feedback.
  • Identify guest strengths and weaknesses.
  • Assess guest risks and equipment use and implement appropriate measures.
  • Suggest company classes, events, or products.
  • Uphold a clean and safe environment for guests and service needs.
  • Report notifiable incidents through the proper course and notify a manager.
  • Assist with company promotion or program development.

Educational Background

  • No education is required
  • Experience in customer service preferred
  • Passion for parkour or related movements

Work Schedule

  • Work hours are typically late afternoon to evening when classes are in session. Weekend shifts may be required.

Pay and Start Date

  • Hourly pay that is contingent on experience
  • Starting date is immediate
  • Benefits include an Enso Movement membership

Summer Camp Staff

Summer camp staff help guests to realize their potential in movement disciplines, fitness, and exercise through instruction, advice, and encouragement. They are responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering an appropriate range of exercise activities for individuals or groups. Camp staff must care for the safety and well-being of all individuals. They may be called upon to demonstrate skills, assist in spotting, or to apply first aid. Camp staff work with other staff to ensure the delivery of excellent programming, coordinate use of equipment, and prepare for the progress of every guest. Moving, lifting, loading, or repairing of equipment may be required. This position will also ensure the fitness areas are clean and safe. Summer camp staff have the responsibility of customer services, expert training knowledge, and an obligation for safety.   • Advise about health and lifestyle issues. 
  • Assess class, programming, or guest risks and implement appropriate measures. 
  • Suggest company classes, events, or products. 
  • Uphold a clean and safe environment for guests and programming needs. 
  • Assess, plan, and arrange any class equipment needs. 
  • Report notifiable incidents through the proper course and notify a manager.
  • Assist with company promotion or program development.

Educational Background

  • No education is required
  • Experience in customer service preferred
  • Passion for parkour or related movements

Work Schedule

  • Weekday mornings and afternoons are available.

Pay and Start Date

  • Hourly pay that is contingent on experience
  • Summer camp staff training will be in May 2022.
  • Starting date will be early June 2022.
