Exercise – Crab Crawls
The Crab Crawl is a quadrupedal movement great for the upper arms and torso development. Keep the hands flat as you shift your weight forward in a supine position. Aim to get your fingers pointing forward to strengthen your wrist mobility – otherwise they can point outward to the sides as you work on building your wrists’ range of motion (ROM).
This supine movement has a couple of variations to make this more challenging:
- Crawl uphill on an access ramp or small incline
- Try the tripod where you keep one foot off the ground
- Reverse table pose – get the front of your torso horizontal by pulling your hips up high
A couple of other Crab Crawl variations include the Spider or Power Crab Crawl.
