Movement Coach
Movement coaches at Enso Movement work with handbalancers, parkour athletes, freerunners, trickers, calisthenics enthusiasts, and other movers to impart tools for connecting to physical movement.
The Movement Coach training is an intensive introductory course for those who want to build a coaching foundation that will be suitable for learning how to incorporate basic fitness methods into their own teaching, training, and coaching practices.
Through the Movement Coach program, you will learn how to effectively coach others and will better understand your personal movement practices. You will also learn how to improve your and your student’s fitness levels.
The Movement Coach Curriculum includes:
- An introduction to the coaching presence
- Addressing risks appropriately
- Developing the coaching voice
- Assessing environments and equipment for safety
- Spotting techniques for risk of injury
- An overview on basic fitness terminology and primary movement patterns
- Integrating learning objectives based on structured learning
- Developing and refining various forms of coaching cues
- Writing lesson plans for skill development
- Utilizing a one-on-one student approach for student-centric coaching
- Teaching self-responsible athletes
